Solid Mineral Exploration

Solid mineral exploration refers to geological exploration activities with the main purpose of investigating and evaluating the potential of regional mineral resources and searching for and exploring solid mineral resources, including searching for solid mineral resources, discovering solid mineral deposits and identifying their orebody distribution, mineral types, quality, quantity, mining and utilization conditions, technical, economic and environmental geological evaluation and application prospects, so as to meet the needs of national construction. Solid mineral exploration activities can be divided into four stages: pre-survey, general survey, detailed investigation and exploration.

The exploration project of a silver-lead-zinc polymetallic deposit in Chengde County, Hebei Province: the physical workload is 1:5000 geological survey 10.82 km2, 1:2000 geological survey 6.98 km2, mechanical core drilling 42248.16 m/117 holes and so on. Ore bodies are controlled by faulted structural belts and interlayer fracture belts. The ore bodies are single vein and compound vein, which are arranged in parallel in nearly East-West direction. The genetic type of the deposit is mesothermal hydrothermal vein deposit, and the industrial type of the deposit is gold-silver-rich zinc polymetallic deposit. The water, industrial and environmental geological conditions in the mining area belong to simple or medium type respectively. The flotation process of copper lead zinc sequence is recommended in ore washability test. Qualified copper, lead, zinc and sulfur concentrates can be obtained. There are 18 zinc polymetallic orebodies, 5 allogeneic paragenetic gold orebodies and 2 allogeneic paragenetic silver orebodies in the whole area.

Detailed geophysical prospecting project for a polymetallic deposit in Xiwuzhumqin Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region: Through 1:10000 magnetic survey in the whole area, the distribution characteristics of magnetic anomalies in this area have been basically clarified, and the fault structures and hidden rock masses related to mineralization have been delineated; secondly, the favorable parts for mineralization have been selected to carry out 1:5000 IP elevator survey and great achievements. Rate induced polarization sounding, 1:2000 geology and high precision magnetic survey comprehensive section, according to magnetic and electrical characteristics, combined with geological knowledge, infer the nature, spatial distribution, occurrence, scale and burial depth of ore bodies, which provides a basis for the exploration of polymetallic deposits in this exploration area.

The 1:50,000 aeromagnetic anomaly verification project in Gonghe County of Qinghai Province: By carrying out various methods such as 1:10,000 geology, high-precision magnetic method, induced polarization, trench exploration and rock-soil profile survey, the rock distribution and lithological characteristics in the verification area were roughly identified, the nature and origin of aeromagnetic anomaly in the verification area were roughly identified, the regional geological background and metallogenic conditions were preliminarily understood, and several ore-forming conditions were delineated. The mineralization (alteration and fragmentation) zone provides the basis and prospecting target for the next prospecting work.
